We are seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill the following position based at the Head Office, Nairobi – Kenya:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE
Reporting to the Associate Partner, the incumbent will be responsible for driving business growth with a key focus on increasing the adoption of the company’s HRIS product (Virtual HR™). The Business Development Executive will combine expertise in HR technology with an understanding of organizational people management to position the company as a trusted partner for digital HR transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing strategies to acquire new clients for Virtual HR™.
- Driving sales of Virtual HR™ by identifying client needs, preparing tailored proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Meeting revenue growth targets through consultative selling, deal negotiation, and contract closure.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for Virtual HR™ and recommending solutions that improve efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of Virtual HR™ and client satisfaction.
- Researching industry trends, competitor products, and client feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Representing the company at industry events, HR forums, and workshops to build brand presence.
- Maintaining long-term client relationships, driving renewals, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Preparing reports on leads generated, pitches held, deals closed, and client feedback.
Key Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in business development and sales, preferably in HR consultancy, HR technology, or SaaS solutions.
- Proven track record of successfully selling HRIS systems.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, workforce management, and HR systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to translate HRIS functionalities into client-focused value propositions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
