Job Vacancy – Supply Chain Accountant

The Company is seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill the following position based in Nairobi:
SUPPLY CHAIN ACCOUNTANT
Reporting to the Finance Manager in the Finance and Procurement Department, the incumbent will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services for the company, management and stock management through optimizing inventory level of stores and logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing inventory control procedures and safeguarding stock by enforcing proper labeling, storage, and access limitations.
- Monitoring stock movements and analyzing trends to prevent stockouts, manage aging inventory, and facilitate timely stock rotations.
- Overseeing sales reports from branches and ensuring warranty follow-up with the Consumer Technology team.
- Managing procurement activities and ensuring compliance with company policies on credit terms, margins, and documentation.
- Negotiating with suppliers and sourcing quality products while comparing prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions to ensure value for money.
- Coordinating local and international logistics operations by maintaining delivery schedules, ensuring timely clearances, and liaising with freight forwarders.
- Ensuring proper documentation and costings of imports by tracking purchase orders, Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs,) and consignment reports for all ongoing projects.
- Preparing and submitting regular reports including stock status, profitability analyses, and master file updates to support decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional Course in Procurement.
- 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role preferably in an ICT firm.
- Good negotiation skills, result-oriented, and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal support.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time.
- Attention to detail by achieving thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task.
- Customer focus orientation, recognizing both internal and external customer needs and balancing available resources and skills and strive to exceed them.
- Problem-solving skills having the ability to break down problems into their essential elements, stay focused on the issue, and formulating and assessing alternatives.
