Job Vacancy – Software Sales Executive

Total Solutions Ltd is a leading ICT solutions company with operations in Kenya and Tanzania and provides solutions across the full range of the market from SMEs to Large Multinational Enterprises through its four (4) Core Divisions, namely, Fiscal Solutions, Infrastructure and Technical Services, Business Software Solutions, and Consumer Technology.  

The Company is seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill the following position based in Nairobi: 

SOFTWARE SALES EXECUTIVE

Reporting to the Project Lead in the Software Department, the incumbent will be responsible for developing sales strategies, generating leads, and ensure the successful sale of enterprise software solutions, including retail POS software, ERP, and CRM systems.   

Key Responsibilities 

  • Generating leads and working with partners to drive new business in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and retail Point of Sale (POS) software.
  • Preparing proposals, Request for Proposals (RFP) & Request for Quotations (RFQ) responses, expressions of interest, and tenders.
  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline, managing the entire sales process from quotations to deal closure, and promoting software solutions tailored to various industries.
  • Conducting product demonstrations and explaining value propositions to potential clients.
  • Managing key accounts and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Working closely with vendor channel management to align business strategies, ensuring that license and mobilization fees are paid before commencing projects, and negotiating and finalizing contracts based on customer needs.
  • Developing and executing sales strategies to meet company objectives.
  • Generating and presenting sales pipeline reports and debtors’ reports on a weekly basis, and monitoring and tracking sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies 

  • Degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Business Management, or Sales & Marketing.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software sales (ERP, POS software, financial software, or business consulting services).
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise software, business processes, and industry trends.
  • Experience selling to retail, distribution, hospitality, and mobility sectors.
  • Understanding of financial accounting principles.
  • Relevant product certification is an added advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to build long-term relationships and attention to detail with a results-driven mindset.
