Job Vacancy – Business Development Manager
Our client a leading insurance brokerage firm that offers a range of tailored insurance solutions through their unparalleled and innovative services is seeking to recruit a dynamic and result driven professional to fill in the following position at its Headquarters office in Nairobi, Kenya:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
The incumbent will be responsible for spearheading the firm’s efforts in sourcing and growing the general insurance business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and executing strategies to source new general insurance clients and grow the portfolio.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, underwriters, and partners.
- Conducting market research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Preparing and delivering effective sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiating terms with underwriters to ensure competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage for clients.
- Collaborating with the operations and claims teams to ensure seamless client service.
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field.
- Certification in Insurance from either the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or Associate member of the Insurance Institute of Kenya (AIIK) will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience at team leader level in insurance brokerage firms handling corporate business.
- Strong knowledge of general insurance products and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
