Our client a leading insurance brokerage firm that offers a range of tailored insurance solutions through their unparalleled and innovative services is seeking to recruit a dynamic and result driven professional to fill in the following position at its Headquarters office in Nairobi, Kenya:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The incumbent will be responsible for spearheading the firm’s efforts in sourcing and growing the general insurance business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing and executing strategies to source new general insurance clients and grow the portfolio.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, underwriters, and partners.

Conducting market research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

Preparing and delivering effective sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

Negotiating terms with underwriters to ensure competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage for clients.

Collaborating with the operations and claims teams to ensure seamless client service.

Meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field.
Certification in Insurance from either the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or Associate member of the Insurance Institute of Kenya (AIIK) will be an added advantage.
At least 5 years of experience at team leader level in insurance brokerage firms handling corporate business.
Strong knowledge of general insurance products and market dynamics.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
