Job Vacancy – Business Development Manager

Our client, a technology company that deals with helping enterprises run businesses by providing end-to-end technology products and solutions is seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill in the following position based in Nairobi:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Business Development Manager will be primarily responsible for driving business growth by formulating suitable strategies that will result in revenue generation for the Retail Industry Solutions segment, handling key clients, and also preparing sales reports as it may be required by the management

Key Responsibilities

·      Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections for the sales department

·      Preparing financial projections and sales targets for junior sales staff.

·      Preparing and presenting sales reports as required by the management.

·      Identifying market opportunities and then preparing sales presentations on the same.

·      Attending business development events such as exhibitions and conferences and setting up meetings with the aim of networking which will lead to pipeline management.

·      Meeting existing and potential clients with the intent of building and maintaining positive relationships.

·      Liaising with the sales executives and developing suitable sales and marketing strategies that will lead to revenue generation.

·      Training business developers and sales team members on the market dynamics to meet sales targets and customer expectations.

Key Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

·      A Diploma/Degree in Marketing or its equivalent

·      A minimum of 2 years of work experience in the same field

·      A drive to seek new business and project management skills

·      Excellent communication skills

·      Good IT skills and product knowledge

·      Strong organizational and strategic and analytical skills
