Our client, Acorn Management Services Limited is a vertically integrated developer, operator, and asset manager of rental housing with a mission to transform and improve the living conditions of the people of Africa by creating sustainable communities coupled with innovative capital investment projects. 

They are seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill the following position based in Nairobi, Kenya:

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE BUSINESS PARTNER 

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Senior Human Resource Business Partner will be responsible for enhancing employee life cycle, optimizing Human Resource (HR) processes through the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) management and automation,. The incumbent will also be in charge of ensuring accurate HR reporting, managing stakeholder relationships with external HR service providers, payroll input for various entities and managing expatriates and necessary permits.

Key Responsibilities

    • Continuously evaluating and improving the employee experience throughout the employee life cycle.
    • Overseeing the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring its optimal performance and leading in implementing projects for new HRIS features or modules.
    • Generating regular HR reports to track key metrics, providing insights to inform decision-making and developing ad-hoc reports as needed to support strategic HR initiatives.
    • Managing relationships with external HR service providers, including but not limited to medical insurance providers.
    • Coordinating service delivery and ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Overseeing the leave management process, including tracking, approvals, and reporting.
    • Inputting payroll data accurately and timely for head office and end-to-end management of payroll process for properties and projects.
    • Managing expatriates, including immigration processes, necessary permits and providing support and guidance to expatriates throughout their assignments.
    • Creating and maintaining career path frameworks and competency models.
    • Designing and administering employee engagement surveys and developing action plans based on survey findings. 
  • Conducting HR audits and assessments to ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

 

Academic Qualifications, Experience, and Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Must be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM-K). Possession of a CHRP-K (Certified Human Resources Professional-Kenya) certification and any  other additional HR certifications would be advantageous.
  • Have 7+ years of experience in HR roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proven experience in HRIS management and process automation.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in HR metrics and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in expatriate management and immigration processes is desirable.
  • Project management experience is an added advantage.
