Our client is a professional and award company that provides comprehensive cleaning solutions and services is seeking to recruit an exceptionally talented and dynamic professional to fill the following position based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania:

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Reporting to the Managing Director and General and Commercial Manager, the incumbent will lead daily administration and customer care functions of the operations, coordinating and streamlining the logistics plans, overseeing the team operations to ensure efficient service delivery, ensuring quality assurance and safety of all cleaning products and services, and managing the department inventory and procurement procedures. The incumbent will also be responsible to supervise directly a team of two people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the management of stock levels through the use of bin cards to optimally meet operational needs, including forecasting demand and coordinating with suppliers for timely replenishment of products.
  • Overseeing the logistics operations, including planning and scheduling deliveries, ensuring efficient transportation, and managing warehouse activities.
  • Supervising the administration of front office to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports on operations, and maintaining accurate records of inventory, transactions, and supplier communications.
  • Coordinating with the In House Safety team to ensure implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, regular inspections are done and compliance with regulatory health and safety requirements.
  • Overseeing inventory control processes, conducting regular audits of the procurement processes, and implementing measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Coordinating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of goods and services, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Overseeing the implementation of established department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and improving them for efficient departmental operations.
  • Providing administrative support to the Managing Director and General Manager, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and handling correspondence.

 

Key Qualifications and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in team management.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
