Job Vacancy – Software Sales Executive

Our client a leading ICT solutions company that deals with helping enterprises run businesses by providing end-to-end technology products and solutions is seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill in the following position based in Westlands, Nairobi:


Reporting to the Software Manager, the incumbent will focus on generating revenue for the software sales business side of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting market research to identify potential clients to sell for the business software solutions and evaluate their software solutions needs.
  • Utilizing various channels such as cold calling, email outreach and networking to generate leads.
  • Managing a robust sales pipeline, tracking and updating leads and opportunities.
  • Prioritizing leads based on potential value and sales probability.
  • Customizing software presentations and demonstrations to align with the specific needs and pain points of each prospect.
  • Conducting effective product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of the company’s software solutions.
  • Negotiating and closing sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospects and clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing client concerns or inquiries.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and competitors to effectively position software products.
  • Providing regular sales reports, including pipeline updates, sales forecasts and revenue projections.

Key Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in sales and Marketing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in Sales and Marketing.
  • Experience in sales of point of sale (POS) and/or Enterprise Retail planning (ERP) systems will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the software industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively present and demonstrate software solutions to potential customers.
